NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN^ THAT during the next Session of the Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, William White •of Kaiapoi, in the said Province, contractor, will apply for an ordinance enabling him at his own sole costs and charges to erect a Bridge over the River Waimakariri, thus establishing an easy and safe cammunication between the country lying to the Northward of the Waimakariri, and the Island of Kaiapoi. With power, to the said William White to levy for his own sole use and benefit for a certain term of years tolls upon all traffic passing over the said Bridge, during the said term. Which said, tolls to be fixed and determined by the contemplated ordinance.
