GIVEN, THAT during the next Session of the Provincial Council'of the Province of Canterbury, application will be made by James Lingard and John Lingard of the Ferry Road, Contractors, for ah ordinance enabling them to erect, and for a term of years to hold a -wharf upon the Reserve^along the Right Bank'of the River Heathcote, where the said Reserve abuts upon the said Ferry Road, at a point distant about three-quarters of a mile from the Heathcote Ferry. And to empower them to levy dues or charges upon all such goods as may be landed at the said contemplated wharf.
