LYTTELTON CHORAL SOCIETY. THE acting Members of the above Society are respectfully informed that, till further notice, the time of meeting for practice will be HALF-PAST 7 O'CLOCK.-. A PRODUCE PLATE, value £25, will be given, to be run for at the CANTERBURY RACE MEETING, January 1858, for two and three yr.-olds, the produce of sires and mares between the Waiautoa and Waitangi Rivers. Weights :—2 years, 6st. lOlbs. 3 years, Bst. 91bs. Distance:—l mile and a-half. _ Entrance :—£2 2s. (P.P. Entries to be made under sealed cover, and stakes to be paid to the Secretary of the Canterbury Jockey Club on or before noon of Saturday, 6th June, 1857.
