With power to" the said William White to levyfor his own sole use and benefit for a certain term of years tolls upon all traffic passing over the said Bridge, during the, said term. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN rTIHAT at the next Session of ■the.Pro_l_ vincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, application will be made for an Ordinance to empower John Jenkins Peacock, of Sydney-, New South Wales, Merchant, to erect one or more Wharf or, . Wharfs, Jetty or Jetties, commencing at. the NorthWest end of -Dublin Street; and extending from thence to a rocky point North-West of Tribe's Wharf, fronting Erskine Bay, in the Harbour of Port Victoria, being a distance of Four chains or thereabouts, with power to canyout sucli. Wharf or Wharfs, Jetty or Jetties, if found requisite, a distance of one hundred-feet from low water mark. Also, to erect and build upon the reserved land,fronting upon the beach along suck Wharf or Wharfs} Jetty or Jetties, thirty-three feet from high water mark, one or more store or stores or.other buildings for the warehousing of goods, wares, and merchandise as he the said John Jenkins Peacock in his dis-, ci-etion shall think proper, so as such "Wharf or Wmirfs,Jetty Or Jetties, Store or Stores, be fully ■"carried, out, erected and built by the said John Jenkins Peacock at his own cost, in all things within such time or period and subject to such conditions and restrictions as in the said Bill are mentioned. Also, for power to put down moorings fronting such Wharf or Wharfs,^ Jetty or Jetties, or otherwise, in the Harbour of Port Victoria, he having the exclusive use thereof. Also for power to receive, get in and collect certain tolls to be by him charged for the use of such moorings as well as wharfage upon all goods' which"may be landed at or itpon such /Vhnrf or Wharfs, Jetty or Jetties, or shipped therefrom, for such time or period as in the said Bill is mentioned. Also, to limit or extinguish certain rights of way and easements over the land so Proposed to be taken; by the said John Jenkins Peacock, and to lease the same to him for such term and at such nominal rent as in the said Bill is mentioned.
