I NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, THAT during- the next; Session of the Provincial Council of the Province .of Canterbury, application will be made by James, Lin^ard and John Lingard'of the Ferry Road, Contractors, for an ordinance enabling them to, erect, and for a term of years to hold a wharf upon the Reserve along the Right Bank of the I jji ver Heathcote, whore the said Reserve abuts, upon the said Terry Road, at a point distant about three-quarters of a mile from the Heathcote Ferry. And to empower them to levy dues, or charges upon all such goods as may be landed at the said contemplated wharf. Island of Kaiapoi. With power to the said William White to levy for his own sole use and benefit for a certain term of years tolls upon all traffic passing over the said Bridge, during the. said term. Which said tolls to be fixed and determined by the contemplated ordinance.
