CHRIST'S COLLEGE, CANTERBURY. THE following Scholarships,in connexion with Christ's College, are at -present vacant. 1. The Dudley Divinity Scholarship, present value about £10 per annum, open" to all members of the' United Church of England and Ireland,'between the ages of 18 and 25 inclusive, declaring themselves desirous, of ' studying ' Divinity. > The value of this Scholarship is likely soon to, increase. .... 2. The Rowley Scholarship, present value about £12 per annum, open to 'all members of the United Church of England, and- Ireland, between the ages of 15 and 20 inclusive. 3. The Buller and Reay 'Scholarship, present value about £15 per annum, open to .the same as the preceding. If three competent Candidates should, 'not present themselves, any two of. the , above ■ Scholarships may be ■ held together, subject to the rules respecting age- Each Scholarship is tenable for three years, subject to the power of the Warden and Fellows to remove a Scholar at any time, incase of misconduct. ■ Candidates are to apply personally," or by letter, before the 25th March next, to the Rev. • H. Jacobs, 1V1.A., Sub-Warden of Christ's College, Christchurch, and, if not resident in the Province, they are required to send'eertifi- - cates of their being members of the United Church of England and Ireland, and, if possible, • Certificates of Baptism, together with Testimonials ofCharacter. They must also declarethemselves ready to conform to the rules of the College,' and to attend such course of instructions -as shall be required of them during the College terms. The minimum of-previous proficiency required will be some knowledge of Latin, of Arithmetic, of Ancient' and' Modern History, Scripture History, and Geography. ■ All further particulars may be learnt on application as above.
