A match for £50 a side between Mr. Caverhill's g. g. War Eagle, and Mr. Lawrence's b'. g. Wild .Darrell; Half forfeit; Two miles, over six flights of hurdles, J. C. P. weights, will take place after the Forced Handicap. CONDITIONS. In all the races an1 allowance of 4 lbs. will be made to mares and geldings, and an additional allowance of- 4 lbs.--.wilb be made for all horses brought from the other provinces of New Zealand, should they arrive within two calendar months from the first day of the meeting. No person riot a subscriber of £1 to the Racing Fund will be allowed to enter a horse for any race except the Hack Stakes, nor for that race, unless a subscriber to the amount of ten shillings. Horses' for the Hack Stakes, Consolation Stakes, and Forced Handicap, to be entered on the ground—no other post entries allowed.' No public money will be added to the Sweepstakes or entrances by the Stewards unless three horses, the bond fide property of separate owners, do start. The riders in all the races excepting the Hack Stakes must appear in the usual Jockey Costume. . A bell will ring for saddling, and another for starting: not more than five' minutes allowed after the last bell, when the horses at the post will be started.
