Sic, —I think a greater attention to the passing occurrences in the colony would be acceptable to the majority of your readers. It is a common remark, when the 'Times or the ' Standard' is taken up, that we need not

expect any account of local news, as they seem to think here that extracts from the English press on all subjects from transportation to currency are more interesting than any account of what passes around us. Difficulties are in the way, no doubt, but I think more might be done to interest your general readers. Z.
