SUBSCRIBERS to the " Lyttelton Times," who have not paid in advance, will he furnished at the close of the year with their accounts for subscriptions considered due on the 31st of December, and calculated at the credit rates ; viz., for a year, £1 17s. 6d.; halfyear, £1; quarter, 10s. Subscribers wishing to pay in advance for the ensuing year are reminded that early payment is necessary; or the period elapsed after the expiring of the previous subscription will be charged for at the increased rates. It is requested that Subscriptions renewable in the middle of a quarter may be adjusted at the next payment, so as to fall due either at the beginning or end of the succeeding quarter, or, if possible, at the conclusion of the year. TO BE LET ON LEASE, THE well known " Bricks Wharf" situated in the Town of Christchurch, and especially adapted, from its depth of water and position, for the loading and discharging of small craft. The Provincial Government having recently voted a sum of money in aid of Steam Communication, the above presents a splendid opportunity for parties desirous of embarking in the finest field of enterprise now open in the province, by the introduction of a steamer (which might be built in Sydney for the purpose) on the River Avon, to run from the Bricks Wharf to Lyttelton, thus securing the greater part of the carrying trade, and settling at once the long discussed question of the Sumner Road.
