The Egmont, scarcely expected, made her appearance yesteiday afternoon. She brintrs the Bishop of Chvislchurch and his family,
Mr. Harraan, late our iJnglish Emigration Agent, and a very large number (thirty-nine) of first-class passengers; with afuilcomplement (145) oflabouring emigrants and their families, in the steerage. The voyage jhas been a prosperous and comfortable one, and the passengers land in remarkably good health and spirits. The comfort and cleanliness apparent on board, on inspection by the shore officers, we believe, elicited their strong commendations. A large number of the passengers landed in the afternoon and, with the Bishops of Cristchurch and New Zealand, at once proceeded to the temporary Church, where Divine service was performed and fthanksgivings offered for the safe conclusion of their journey The installation of the Bishop of Chmtehurch will take place at Christchurch tomorrow.
