AUCKLAND.

By the Julia Ann, we have Auckland papers to the 28th ult. Their intelligence from Europe is not later, that from Australia not so late as our dates. There is little local news of importance. The Provincial Council was summoned by ihe new Superintendent to meet on the 9th December. Messrs Boylan, Buckland and O'Neill form the new Executive Council. Several Elections for the Provincial Council were in progress. One seat was vacated by Mr. Beckham the Resident Magistrate, who gives as his reason the increase of his duties under the new act. The race meeting is to come off in the first few days of January, and promises to be well supported. Major Nugent,\/ late Native Secretary, and family had sailed in the Chatham, for England direct,- and Dr. Campbell, thelate Superintendent, in the William Denny for Sydney, on his way home. The Black Ball liner Conference is reported to have arrived in Auckland on the 20th November, having L3ft Liverpool, August 17th. The weather, throughout the past three or four weeks, has been unsually boisterous and severe; gale has succeeded gale, and rain has fallen frequently and heavily ; the pastures, consequently, are most luxuriant, and the feed for sheep and cattle more abundant than it ever hitherto has been. The crops too, we learn, are looking strong and healthy, with every promise of a plentiful harvest —JSfciv Zealandcr, Nov 22.
