General Assembly.

■ Our space does not always permit us to print the debates in full in order as they occur; but we shall endeavour from time to time to give the most important and interesting speeches on both sides, taken from those papers which generally support the opinions of each speaker. In the debate, for instance, which we now publish, we copy the speeches of the Ministerial party of the time from the New Zealander, and of the opposition from the Southern C?'oss. We shall take care always to give the subject and date of each debate that we publish.
