WELLINGTON.
Fibe a.t Wellington.—We regret to hear that another fire has taken place at Wellington, which, although not so exfeneive a conflagration as that recorded a short Itm? ba< k. is calculated to be a serious inconvenience to the province. The building now destroyed^ was the residence of Mr. Fox, the Provincial Treasurer, and which, during his And the Superintendent's absence at Auckland, was' in the charge of Mr. Brandon the Provincial Solicitor. All the documents atid the correspondence of the Provincial Government were deposited here ; "these we have' been informed are all destroyed. We trust, however, that this report
will prove to be somewhat exaggerated. 'The Government house is situated close to the one now destroyed, and •although t lv was" often in great danger from the' burni ng 'flakes, by the exertions of the people it was providentially preserved.
