I Jamiss Edward Fitz Gekald, Su- *) perintendent of the Province of Can- . terbury, do hereby in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf by the .Regulations for the sale, letting and occupation of the Waste Lands of the Crown, Proclaim and Declare that the lands hereinafter described shall be reserved for the following purposes;—that is to say (1.) —Ten acres (more or less), situated at Little Akaroa, Banks' Peninsula, being bounded on the northwest by the Reserve of sixty-six feet above high water mark ; on the southwest by section 309 A; on the north-east by section 409; and on the south-east by a continuation of the road running south westerly through section 409 and numbered 90 on the authenticated map in the Lai.d Office, signed by the Chief Surveyor, setting out and describing the freehold land in Little Akaroa: —to be reserved for a Church and School.
(2.) —Fifty acres (move ox- less) included between the Salt Water Creek, the east boundary of the Great ■North Road, and the River Ashley:—to be reserved for the purpose of establishing and maintaining a Ferry arid House of Accommodation at the Salt Water Creek.
