SYDNEY PRODUCE CIRCULAR.
(From the " Morning Herald.")
The wool market this week has been depressed, purchasers anxionsly waiting later advices froua'England, and •would only purchase at a decline, which was not submitted to by the holders ; prices therefore remaiu nominal. Shkepskixs—Firmly sustain late quotations, not nearly sufficient coming forward to meet the requirements of the trade. Taliow.—There is a little reaction under this head, and a reduction of Is. to 2s. per cwt- has been submitted to si ace this day sennight. But it is probable that producers will prefer the chance of shipment to selling extensively in Shis market nt present rates. Hides.—For cood lots there are several orders 6till uns=upp!ied, and such would be taken readily at extreme rates. The few offering are quite unequal to the wants of buyers. Maize axd Hat.—The prevalence of wet, unfavourable ■weather has somewhat affected the sale of hay, and no transactions of much magnitude have taken place during the -week, but quotations are unaltered. Maize is also in rather sla<*k demand, and a shade lower in price. Oats and Barley.—Very little doing, and prices are nominally same as last -week. Wheat axd Flour.—The supplies are moderately good, and prices are steadily maintained.
