To the Editor of the " Lyttellon Times."
Sir, — Can you give any information, on the following topics:—When the Quarterly Statement of Revenue and Expenditure of this Province, to 31st March last, is likely to appear, for the enlightenment of anxious outsiders ?
Also, if it is probable that a statement will be made public, of the items which consumed the £200, handed over to his Honor the Superintendent by the Provincial Council, to afford his Excellency the Governor suitable hospitality in his recent visit ?
Furthermore, can it be considered as quite consistent with the same vaunted hospitality, that the Governor on leaving should have been allowed to pay his House Bill in Lyttelton, amounting to £60 odd, from his private purse r
And lastly, have the contractors for making the great Suraner Road any business to wander about our streets, 'loudly complaining that they have had faith and honor violated with them in regard to the sudden suspension of the said Contract, and otherwise been badly treated by " the Powers that be r:'
Yours truly, AxTt-HuilBUG
