HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified for" public information that the Waste Lands' Board will sit at the Land Oflice, Christchurch, every Tuesday and Friday, at 12 o'clock at noon. IVTOTICE is Hereby Given that the -*-^ " Application Book," in which persons desirous of applying1 for land under the Waste Lands' Regulations may enter their names, will be open at the Land Office, Christchurch, on and after the Ist of April next, between the hours often o'clock, a.m., and 3 o'clock, p.m., daily, excepting on Saturdays, when it will be closed at 1 o'clock, p.m. The regulation relating thereto is published below for general information. " A book to be called the ' Application Book' shall be kept open during office hours at the Land Office, in which the name of every person desiring to make any application to the Board shall be written in order by himself or any person duly authorised on his behalf. And the Commissioners shall during the sitting of the Board, consider and determine all applications in the order in which they shall appear in the application book. Provided that if any person shall not appear himself or by some person duly authorised on his behalf before the Board when called in his turn his application shall be dismissed until his name shall appear again in the book in order, provided also that if two or more persons shall apply at the same time to write their names i.i the Application Book, the Chief Commissioner shall bracket their names, and shall initial the bracket; and when they shall appear at the Board, the Board shall determine the priority of right to be heard by lot. And it shall not be lawful for the Board to hear any application except [such as shall be made in accordance with this regulation." Joseph Brittan, Provincial Secretary. Christchurch, 28th Nov., 1855. npHE Provincial Government are prepared to receive Tenders for the Purchase or Leasing of any of the Properties named below—(that is to say) : — Nob. on the Map of the Canterbury Association. The Reserve for tlie Association's Store, at Christchurch 16 The portion of the Wharves, at Lyttekon, still unoccupied 32 The Bouthoiise, with the Dwellinghouse next to it, on the Beach, at Lyuelinii 33 The Agent's house and premises, at Lvtteltmi, now in the occupation of the Union ]3;ink of Australia 34 The Government Offices, at Lytteltelloii 34 All Tenders must be addressed in writing to the Provincial Secretary, and must state the terms on which the applicant is prepared to purchase or rent the property applied for. If the terms offered in any Tender shall be deemed sufficient by the Government, the property will be put up to Auction pursuant to the Ordinance. By order of His Honor the Superintendent, Josrcrir.
