• Suuh places as Oknin's Bay are peculiar eases —they are almost out of the reach of inspection and controul, but ihny oupht to be assisted liberally. If the Government is uot able to give a grant without liutting a stop to schools already established', there would be no difficulty in raising funds by voluntary subscriptions ; and we should lik« to see one begun at once for this particular locality/
