The riders in all the races, excepting the H.tck Stakes, must appear in the usual jockey costume. ~ A bell will ring for saddling, mul another lor starting. Not more than five minutes allowed after the last bell, when the horses at the post will be staried. Horses to be at the post for the Hurdle Race, and the Jockey Club Plate at 12 o'clock on each ' The rules of the Canterbury Jockey Club will be strictly enforced. The entrances or sweepstakes in each race will be 10 per cent, on the amount of the plate or stakes. The prizes will be paid by the Treasurer on Saturday, 15th March, at 3 p.m., at the Golden Fleece Hotel. Subscription Lists open at the different hotels.
