The riders in all the races, excepting the Hack Stakes, must appear in the usual jockey costume. A bell will ring for saddling, and another for slavting. Not more than five minutes allowed after (he last bell, when the horses at the post will be started. Horses to be at the post for the Hurdle Knee, and the Jockey Club Plate at 12 o'clock on each day. The rules of the Canterbury Jockey Club will be strictly enforced. The entrances or sweepstakes in each race will be 10 per cent, on the amount of the plate or stakes. The prizes will be paid by the Treasurer on Saturday, loth March, at 3 p.m., at the Golden Fleece Hotel. Subscription Lists open at the different hotels. Subscribers are particularly requested to pay the amount of their subscriptions to the Treasurer, W. G. Britlau,Esq., or to one of the stewards, on or before noon of Saturday, Ist of March, in order that the committee may be enabled to give due notice of the value of the several plates or stakes.
