Consolation Stakes, and forced Handicap, \o be named, and colours of the riders to be declared under sealed cover to the Secretary of lite -Canterbury Jockey Club, at ihe Golden Fleece Hotel, Christcliureb, on or before 7 p.m. on Wednesday, sih March, Horses fur the Hack Stakes, Consolation Stakes, and Forced Handicap to be entered on the ground. No other post entries allowed. No public money will be added to the sweepstakes or entrances, by the stewards, unless three horses, the imim fide property of separate owners, do start. ) The lidt-rs in all the races* excepting the Hftck Stakes, must appear in the u&ual juckey costume. A bell will ring for saddling, and another for starting. Not more than five minutes allowed after the last bell, when Cue hoises at the post will be started. Horses to be at the post for the Hurdle Race, and the Jockey Club Plate at 12 o'clock on each day. ' The rules of the Canterbury Jockey Club will be strictly enforced. The entrances or! sweepstakes in each race wiil be 10 per ceut. on the amount of the plate or stakes. The prizes will be paid by the Treasurer on Saturday, 15th March, at 3 p.m., at the Gulden Fleece Hotel. Subscription Lists open at the different hotels.
