HOTIGE. Election of Church Property Trustees. NOTICE is Hereby Given, that Nominations of Lay-Trustees for the ensuing year must be made on or before the 14th day of December next. The following new Districts are about to be constituted immediately, viz., Papanui, Riccarton, Avonside, Christchurch Quay, and the Lower Lincoln Road. The Electors in the various districts are requested to attend to the following Bye-Law of the Church-Property Trustees :■ — Bye-Law.—" Any person, qualified according to the provisions of the Ordinance to vote at the Election of Laj'-Trustees, may at any time, being not less than 18 days before the day of declaration of election, by letter addressed to the Incumbent of any parish, propose himself or any other duly qualifiedv person to be a candidate for the office of Lay-Trustee for such parish ; and the Incumbent shall, 14 days at least before the day of declaration of election, publicly notify the names of the persons being duly qualified who have been so proposed as Candidates, and shall at the same time also publicly notify some one or more houses within the parish at which the voting papers hereinafter mentioned may be delivered." - Voting-papers may be delivered on any day from the 26th to the 31st day of December inclusive, and the day of declaration of election will be the first day of January, 1856.
