MissCromptou, Miss Skinner, Mr. & Mrs. Mc Naughten, and Mr. Hunt. 16th Nov. schooner Sea Serpent, 58 tons, Flight, for Akaroa. I_XI*OB,TS. In the Cashmere, Latter & Le Cren, agents, part of original cargo from London. In the Sea Serpent, master, agent, transhipped under bond from the Merchantman, I bundle spades, 1 keg, aud 1 pkg. ironmongery, Fry ; 23 bags potatoes, N. Z., cordials, ironmongery, furniture, grindstones, etc.
We have the gratification of being able to announce that the long-desired steamer to navigate the Canterbury bays and rivers will shortly make her appearance. Our enterprising townsman, Mr. Thacker, has purchased the Alma, 40 tons, 12 horse-power, screw, and she may be expected here in about a fortnight. Tiiis is the same boat that Messrs. Bishop, Gould and Inwood had contracted to purchase.— Canterbury Standard. According to the Argus, the Alma- cleared out for Port Cooper on the 26th ult.
