THE BALTIC FLEET.

Fleet off Cronstaut, June 29.—The Exmouth and Blenheim returned this morning, (June ]9), from the island of Jiavensari, where they have heen firing on the enemy. A heavy broadside firing had heen kept up by tlie Blenheim for four hours. The loss on the side of the enemy must have been very great. The only damage sustained on board the Blenheim was her main and inizen topmast heads slightly injured. Two of the gunboats were sent in on trial, and answered remarkably well from their small draught of water, being able t<> get so much closer to the enemy than the large 3iji!r|?s. The Island of Lavensnri is near the entrance of the Bay of Karva. There are several earthworks thrown up there, and a large barrack capable of containing about 1,500 men. When the Blenheim commenced liriug, the enemy had only three guns mounted, but toon succeeded in mounting five more on field carriages, which they brought down on the beach, and fired 82 shots at the gunboats without effect. They were reinforced during the day by a large number of men conveyed by means of boats from another island close to Lavensari. Dantzic, Aug. 3.—The Princess Alice has arrived with the mails; she left the fleet on the 31st ultimo at Naigen. No alteration had taken place in the position of the squadron. Nothing of importance had taken place except the destruction of some coast batteries at Kotka,bnt preparations are being made to btdke an important blow.
