Society for Promoting Christian KnowledgeON the arrival of the Lord Bishop of New Zealand, which is expected early in the month of November, it is proposed to hold a Meeting of persons desirous of becoming members of a Canterbury Branch of the Society for promoting Christian Knowledge. A supply of books and tracts, bibles, prayerbooks, Sec, has just been received from the parent Society, and a depot is established at Mr. Thompson's in Cashel Street. Steps have been tifken to obtain a farther supply. Intendiinr subscribers are requested to send in their names to Mr. P. Thompson, Cashel street, Christchurch, or to the Rev. B. W. Dudley, Lyttelton.
