' This being the bead of the navigation, a plot of ground has been reserved for a steam basin, when the circumstances of the Colony shall justify its formation; aud the importance ofthe place, from which tlie greater part of the produce of tbe plains will necessarily be shipped, and its imports discharged, renders it one of peculiar advantage for permanent investment, as a locality in which property will inevitably most rapidly increase in value. The erection of a Church upon the spot is already in progress, and provision is made for the. site of a school.
