POLAND.
The " Donau" has a letter from its correspondent in the kingdom of Poland, which is not without interest. No order has yet been issued for any of the troops now in Poland to march to Bessarabia or to the Crimea. So large is the army, that a stranger travelling through Poland would hardly suppose that Russia was at war in Asia and the Crimea with three potent nations. In Poland, in the seaports in the Baltic, andin Odessa, the people wish for peace. But in the various governments in Great Russia the war fever is as violent as ever. The fortifications around Odessa are continued with extreme energy. The earthworks on the right side now extend from Peorsigg to Khutor Dembrowsky, and on tbe quarantine side as far as Lustdorf. A new fort, which commands the port, is being built near the Plaque-hill. The place is said to be twice as strong as it was when the bombardment took place on the 22nd of April, 1854. The blockading squadron appears in sight from time to time, but keeps out of range.
