Akaroa—The Wollaston, an American whaler, has lately returned to this harbour, after a 4 months' cruise off the coast. During this time her crew have captured 10 sperm whales, yielding a good supply of oil. We have been informed that these whale's were caught within 10 miles of the shore. The " Wollaston " has on board a total of 1,250 barrels of oil, and we understand that the captain intends to sail for America, via Wellington, from Akaroa in a few days.
