The Bishop of New Zealand's Yacht, Southern Cross, Captain George Sustins, arrived at Auckland, from Southampton on the 19th ult., after a very fair passage of 113 days. The Southern Cross is a topsail schooner, of 70 tons new measurement and 1-00 tons old. She was constructed expressly for Dr. Selwyn by those eminent builders Messrs. Wigrarn and Sons, of Blackwall, and from her performance during the passage, which was a favourable one, has earned tbe reputation of being an excellent sea boat. She is remarkably sharp at her entrance, and has a clean and well-rounded run : and her master pronounces her to be a good vessel, of a model which combines speed with weatherly and other desirable qualifications. Her accommodations, fore, and ait, are plain, but substantial and comfortable, and she is provided with a couple of sweeps on both sides.
