HP HE Conveyance Passenger Carts, from the Post Office, Christchurch, will, until further notice, run twice a-day to and from Martin's Cottage, at the foot of the hill, on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday in each week. Notice to Stock-owners and others--IV"OTICE is Hereby Given, that the -*-J country on both sides of the Bridle-path, extending from Mount Pleasant to the Dry Bush, is infected with Scab, and that measures have been taken to maintain a way for sheep driven into Lyttelton through Sumner and Gollan's Bay during the continuance of the infection. All clean sheep landed in the harbor must be landed in Gollan's Bay, and driven up tbe country by way of Sumner. "IVrOTICE IS HEREBY giyen that the -L^ penalties under the 21st clause of the Scab aud Catarrh Ordinance, will be strictly enforced. The clause is published for general information. Clause 21. "If any person shall slaughter, or shall have in his possession for the purpose of slaughtering, any sheep infected with either of the said diseases, or shall expose for sale the carcase, or any part thereof of any slAo so infected, he shall he liable for each such offence to a fine of not less than twenty shillings^nor more than five pounds, one half of such fiiie^fo be paid to the informer.
