Christchurch Quay New Town. Set out in quarter-acre, and other sections for Building purposes. THE situation of this town upon the main road from Port Lyttelton and Sumner to Christchurchj and on the north bank of the rivet Heathcote, which is navigable up to this point for all vessels that can enter the Estuary, presents most important advantages to persons connected with the trade and shipping business of the plains, for establishing waterside premises, wholesale stores and warehouses. This being the head of the navigation, a plot of ground has been reserved for a steam basin, when the circumstances of the Colony shall justify its formation ; aud the importance of the place, from which the greater part of the produce of the plains will necessarily be shipped, and its imports discharged, renders it one of peculiar advantage for permanent investment, as a locality in which property will inevitably most rapidly increase in value. The erection of a Church upon the spot is already in progress, and provision is made for the .site of a school. Plans of the town may be seen at the office of Mr. Cridland, architect, Christchurch, at the landing wharf, Christchurch Quay, and at the office of Mr. Dampier, solicitor, London street, Lyttelton, of whom respectively full information may be obtained. An early day Avill be fixed for submitting a portion of thesections to public competition and upon terms to suit the convenience of purchasers. KAIAPOI.
