PUBLIC CAUTION. THE Publio of Canterbury .are hereby cautioned that Emery Malmanche, of Akaroa, is about to offer in Christchurch, Lyttelton, and other paits, sundry Asses for sale. These asses were placed in his charge by Commodore Berard, under written instructions, which made him their guardian until their increase was sufficient for each one of the original French settlers to have one. I hereby protest against such sale, if effected, and warn all those who may meddle, that I have instructed my solicitor" to proceed against the seller as a fraudulent person, and a trustee robbing me of my rights.
