' This being the head of the navigation, a plot of ground has been reserved for a steam basin, when the circumstances of the Colony shall justify its formation; and the importance of the place, frjm.which the greater part of the produce of the plains will necessarily be shipped, and its imports discharged, renders it one of peculiar, advantage for permanent investment, as a locality in which property will inevitably must rapidly increase in value. The erection of a Church upon the spot is already in progress, and provision is made for the site of a school.
