Lyttelton Choral Society. A T a Meeting of the above Society held u» T Wednesday, the 4th inst., in theTowi, Hall, the following resolutions were passed: 1. "Tbat a Concert be held on Tuesday the 24th inst., in aid of the Patriotic Fund for the relief of tlie Orphans and Widows of those who may be killed in tlie preseut war. 2. " That amateurs be invited to give their assistance on this occasion. Intending performers to send in their names to the Couducior before the 14th for appioval."
The following gentlemen have been asked and have acceded to the request, to act in conjunction with the Committee of the Choral Society, as a Special Committee:' Captain Simeon, Mr. Sewell, Mr, Spowers Dr. Donald, Mr. I. Shrimpton, and Mr. JS. _! Hargreaves. F. M'Cardhm.; Conductor.
