LOCAL INTELLIGENCE

The Rev. Joseph Twigger.—On Thursday evening, the oih inst., the body of the Rev. J. Twigger, who has been missing since the 22nd ultimo, was found by a working man, named Stephen Brooker, in the River Avon, about a quarter of a mile below the spot where Mr. Twigger parted company with the person who went part of the way home with him on the night on which he disappeared. A large number of people immediately assembled, and assisted in conveying the remains of the unfortunate gentleman to an out-house on his own premises, there to await the Coroner's inquest. '-.:'■ An inquest was held on the body yesterday (Friday), and adjourned till Monday next, for the production of an important witness.— From a Correspondent.
