AH such applications must be addressed to Captain Parsons, Immigration Agent, Lyttelton, and should state the number of servants or labourers wanted, the nature of the seivice re- j quired of them, and the place where immigrants J may apply for such service. Persons desirous of having servants or labour- i ers hired for them on the arrival of any,ship, , must employ an agent in Lytteltou to make such engagements. . j The Immigration Agent cannot interfere betweenemplovers and labourers further, than to inform "the immigrants where labour is required. HP HE -Provincial Government are prepared to enter into arrangements for the establishment of Steam communication between Lyttelton and the Plains in one of the fuliowiug ways. Firstly, by the grant of a bonus to any person or company who shall establish such communic.itioUj calculated on the loss likely to be sustained. Secondly, by guaranteeing* a certain rate of dividend on the capital embarked in the undertaking. Thiully, by advancing a part of the capital required.
