Particulars of .the Contract and invoices of the boards and scantling: required will be ready for inspection at the office of Public Works in Christchurch, and at the Resident Magistrate's Office, Lyttelton, on and after Wednesday, the 14th inst; The Timber must be delivered on the ground. Firstly, by the grant of a bonus to any person or company who shall establish such communication, calculated on the loss likely to be sustained. Secondly, by guaranteeing a certain rate of dividend on the capital embarked in the undertaking. Thiidly, by advancing a part of the capital required. Capitalists who are disposed to carry out the views of the Government upon any of the conditions above described, are requested to send in tenders to this office, containing- full particulars of the terms on which they propose to act.
