To Merchants and Contractors. npi-IE Pbovinctax Government are prepared to receive tenders for a contract to supply about Sixty Thousand feet of Sawn Timber for the building of the Provincial Council Chamber and Government Oifices. Piirticulars of the Contract and invoices of the boards and scantling required will he ready for inspection at the office of Public Works in Christchurch, and at the Resident Magistrate's Office, Lytteltoi), on and after Wednesday, the 14th .inst. The Timber must be delivered on the ground. The Tenders must be sent into this office on or before Wednesday, the 28th inst. The Government will not bind itself to accept the lowest orany tender.
