HIS HONOR THE SUPERINTENDENT directs it to be notified that all persons who shall henceforth encroach on the land reserved for public roads within the Province, either by digging ditches, or raising banks thereon, will be prosecuted, and that those persons M'hp have already so encroached will be liable at any time to be called on to replace the soil so removed or to remove the banks so made. Firstly, by the grant of a bonus to any person or company who shall establish such* communication, calculated on the loss likely to be sustained. Secondly, by guaranteeing a certain rate of dividend on the capital embarked in the undertaking. Thiidly, by advancing a part of the capital required. _ Capitalists who are disposed to carry out tbe views of the Government upon any of the conditions above described, are requested to send in tenders to this dijice, containing full particulars of the terms on which they propose to act.
