Leading Article was trained for the Nelson races in 1853, and was the favourite for the •Victualler's Purse of 3 miles against Mr. Redwood's celebratedhhorsye y Glaucus, and Mr. Newcomb's horse Joe Miller, but broke down in the race through an injury he had sustained in the Fetlock joint, notwithstanding, miming a good second with Glaucus.
