Situation axd Boundaries. Bounded on the North by the Hekeana (branch of the River Hinds), on the East by the sea coast, South by the run (No. 34), applied for by Mr. Ernest Gray, and on the West by the run (No. 26) in the occupation of Mr. G. J. Rogers. Bounded on the North by the River Orari, on the East by she Sea Coast, on the South by the River Orangitairi, and on the West by Run (No. 18) in the occupation of Mr. Alfred Cox. s Bounded on the North by the River Otaio, on the East by the Sea Coast, on the South by the River Makakini, and Westerly between the Rivers Otaio and Makakini to the extent of 28,500 acres. Bounded on the North by the River Makakini, and on the East by the Sea Coast, on the south by the River Hook, and westerly between the Rivers Makakini and Hook to the extent of 28,500 acres. Bounded on the North by a line 5 miles north of and parallel to the River Waihao, on the East by the eastern base of the hills about 6 miles from the sea, on the South by the Waihao, and on the West by a line parallel to and 10 miles from the eastern boundary. Bounded on the North by the Snowy Range, on the East by No. 41, applied for by Mr. P. Studholme, on the West by the Snowy Range, and on the South by the runs (Nos. 21 & 23) granted to Messrs. Pyke and Taylor. Bounded on the North by tht run (No. 42) applied for by Mr. H. Meyer, on the East by the run (No. 21) granted to Mr. J. P. Taylor, on the South by the River Waitangi, and westerly to the extent of 22,500 acres. An Island on the Sea Coast in the forks of the River Hinds. On the south bank of the River Ashburton, bounded on the North by the Ashburton, on the East by a line 8 miles from and parallel to the eastern boundary of run No. 15 granted to Mr. J. Hall, on the South by the river Hinds, and westward by the run No. 15, granted to Mr. J. Hall. Bounded on the North by the River Ashburton, on the East by the sea, on the South by the Northern branch of the River Hinds, and on the West by the run No. 45, applied for by Mr. Allan M'Lean. On the River Hurunui, west of and adjoining the run No. 6, granted to Mr. Charles Si dey. William Guise Brtttan, Commissioner of Crown Lands, Province of Canterbury.
