The following important communication has been forwarded to Professor Holloway for ptiblication, by Mr. B. Dixon, Chemist, King-street, Norwich : Copy of a Letter from Capt. Smith, of Great Yarmouth, dated January 19th } 1853. To Mr. Dixon, Dear Sir, —I send you the particulars of a cure effected by Professor Holloway's invaluable Medicines: Mr. John Walton, late in Her Majesty's Service,, in the British Fleet at Malta, had a very bad ulcerated ancle, and after having been in Jhe Malta Hospital for six months, was sent to England as an invalid to Portsmouth Hospital, where ho remained an inmate four months, there, as at Malta, refusing to have the limb amputated, he was turned out incurable. He then came to Yarmouth, and was under a medical gentleman for about three months, but his auclo became so much worse that all hope was lost. At this period, by my advice, he tried Holloway's Ointment and Pills, which by unremitted application, healed all the ulcers, and restored him to perfect health and strength. I remain, dear Sir, yours very truly, (Signed) John Smith. Albert Hotel, Great Yarmouth. These celebrated Pills are wonderfully efficacious in the followiug complaints:— Ague, Asthma, Bilious complaints, Blotches on the Skin, Bowel complaints, Colics, Constipation of the Bowels-, Consumption, Debility, Dropsy, Dysentry, Erysipelas, Fevers of all kinds, Fits, Gout, Head-ache, Indigestion, Inflammation, Jaundice, Liver complaints, Lumbago, Piles, Rheumatism, Retention of Urine, Scrofula, or King's Evil, Sore Throats, Secondary Symptoms, Tic Doloureux, Tumours, Ulcers, Worms of all kinds, Weakness, from whatever cause, &c., &c. Caution to the Inhabitants of New Zealand. i It has lately come to my knowledge that spurious " Hoi- j lozcay's Pills and Ointment" are being sold by a person in Melbourne, who supplies Dealers with the same in most parts of Australasia. It is therefore particularly necessary to observe that the Genuine Medicines have the words " Holloway''s Pills and Ointment" woven in the Watermark of the Paper of the Direction Books, similar to a Bank Note ; and one of which is affixed to every Pot and Box, the same words are engraved on the Government Stamp, which is pasted on every Pot und Box, and to imitate which is Felony; without such marks tho Medicines ore not genuine. Kgg^The Genuine Medicines may be had of Messrs. SIDISY & Le CREN, Lyttelton. If any parties have boon imposed upon by buying spn" rious Medicines, they are earnestly requested to communicate with the above named Agents, and also to kindly Bond me direct to England full particulars to my address, 244, Stuaxd, London. (Signed) THOMAS HOLLOWAY. March 23th, 1854.
