NOTICE. WHEREAS persons are in the practice of driving cattle from off my Bun known as Edney Valley, near Mount Pleasant' and taking with them cattle belonging to me or in my charge—l hereby give notice, that in future I shall proceed against any one doing so, as the law directs. Gould, who is duly authorised to receive the same; and all parties having any claims against the above are requested to send them in to be examined and if correct discharged, Christchurel], June 27th, 1854. ~ PUBLIC CAUTION. ~ SEVERAL Unqualified Persons having lately taken upon themselves the preparation of Conveyances, Leases, JDeeds of $ale, and other documents, contrary to the Ordinance in that behalf provided and intended for the protection of the public against the mischievous consequences of imperfect documents and titles prepared by other than duly qualified persons by the impositition of a " penalty of £50 for every such offence, to be recovered by action in the Supreme Court by any one pho shg.ll sue for the same." The public, and the above individuals in particular, are hereby cautioned against such offences, and requested to take notice that the penalties will most undoubtedly be strictly enforced if the practice be repeated by them.
