IMMIGRATION. A PPLICATIONS for assisted passages -^*- in ships under engagement with the Provincial. Persons desirous that their relatives or friends should sail for the colony ill the first ships dispatched from England, must send in their applications on or before Saturday the 29th instant, as Mr. Harman, the Emigration Agent, will sail t for England immediately after that date. By order of His Honor the Superintendent, H. G. Gotland, Provincial Secretary. NOTICE. A N Assistant Master for the Commercial Department of the Grammar School, Christchurch, is wanted. Salary, £150 per annum. Gentlemen, desirous of applying for this situation, are requested to send their applications immediately to the Rev. the Head Master, Grammar School, Christchurch. All applications must contain full particulars as to age, and previous occupations, and must be accompanied by testimonials. By order of His Honor the Superintendent, . H. G. Gouiaxd, Provincial Secretary. NOTICE. SEVERAL Schoolmasters will.shoitly be wanted to take charge of the District Schools to be established by the Provincial Government. Persons desirous of applying for such situations are requested to send in their applications to the Rev. O. Mathias, Commissary of the Lord Bishop of New Zealand. Every application must state the age, and previous occupation of the applicant; and must be accompanied by testimonials as to character and qualification. To take charge of some schools, married couples would be preferred. The salaries will be determined by the Government according to the number of* children in the school, and the qualification of the master, and will vary from £S0 to £120 a year.
