NOTICE. GEORGE WHITLEY begs to inform his friends and the public generally, that he has purchased the unexpired term of the Lease of those extensive premises known as " The Lyttelton Arms," but being unable to obtain a License for the sale of Spiritous Liquors until the next annual licensing day, he purposes, in the mean time, opening the same as a Boarding House, and trusts by strict attention and moderate charges to merit their support. Lyttelton, respectfully intimates to the inhabitants of Christchurch, that it is his intention to open on Monday, March sixth a branch of his business on those premises lately occupied by Mr. Gihhs, as a General Store, &c, near the Land-office, which will at all times be well supplied with English and Colonial manufactured boots, shoes, leather, grindery, &c, of the very best quality, and at the lowest prices. WANTED, in a mercantile establishment of three years' standing in this Settlement, doing an extensive business, and with facilities for increasing the same—a partner, with a capital and English manufacturing connections.
