PUBLIC NOTICE. \\7~HEREAS several applications have * * been made at this office to purchase Town Land in Christchurch out of the Town Reserves, reserved by the late Canterbury Association for the extension of the town, I hereby gite notice that the said Reserves .will at once be laid out in half acre sections, and that a public auction, subject to the same conditions and terms of purchase as were adopted by the late Canterbury Association, will be held at the Land Office, Christchureh, for the sale of a portion of such town land, on Saturday the 13th day of May next. Persons desirous of purchasing any particular section may have the same included in the list for sale, by making application in writing to that effect at this office, on or before Saturday the 6th day of May next. To give effect to such application, it will be necessary to deposit the upset price of each section, viz., twenty-four pounds (£24), on or before the same day. William Guise Brittan.
