The schooner Fortitude while working up to Christchurch Quay on Saturdny last, was " snagged " by running- against the trunk of a tree at tin entrance to the Heathcote, near the old Ferry. She was immediately run ashore in a sinking state, but thf> cargo of Sugar. Tea. &c. with which she was ladeiir has been completely destroyed.
