FARMER'S FAVOURITE, a pure Clydesdale horse, imported from V.D.1,., in 1851, is a bright bay, black points, 16 hands high, rising five years old, and for shape, hone, beauty and action, he is considered the pride of the island. Farmer's Favourite gained the prize at Launceston as the best yearling colt. Terms £4. 4s. Lyttelton, Sep. 29th. To Stand this Season, At Ham Farm, 'T^H.E thorough-bred Horse, Shamrock, He is a bright bay, stands sixteen hands, strong boned, very good tempered, and 7 yrs. old. His sire, Mr. Rouse's (of Guntawarry) English blood horse,'' St. John. His dam a thorough-bred Camerton mare. Shamrock won the prize at the Agricultural Society's show as the " best colonial blood stallion." Terms, £5 55., and ss. the Groom. CANTERBURY. A PURE Clydesdale Horse, imported by J. C. Watts Russell, in 1850. He is a dark Brown, stands sixteen hands ami half an inch, with good bone and excellent temper. Rising 7 yrs. old. His sire, "Young Scotsman," gained several prizes in the County Ayr. His grandsire, the" Scotsman," the properly of Wm. Kirkwood, of Grimesal, Duulope, gained the two first prizes in the Highland Agricultural Show. Terms, £i 45., and ss. the Groom. SPEED THE PLOUGH. ASTRONG-boned, powerful Bay horse, stands sixteen two. Rising five years old- His sire, "Young Prince," a pure Suffolk, imported by J. W. Gleadow, Esq., to V.n Diemen's Land, His dam, a Government mure by the celebrated imported horse, " Sampson." Terms, £4 45., and ss. the Groom. N.B. No mares taken after the Ist January, when the money will be collected. The Grooms fee to be paid to himself at the time. One of the Horses will be at the Stables vt the Royal Hotel every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, between, the hours of tw> and three o'clock, tor the purpose of trying mares. "DUKE," A WELL-BRED, good-tempered, close, active, Clydesdale, of great bone and power, a dark bay with black points, 5 years old, will cover this season, at Mr. Fisher's farm, on the Heuthcote.
