VV., and foaled Sep. 28th, 1845, was got by " Cap a pie," out of " Griselda," by " Dover ;" grandam, " Gertrude" by " Trumpet," her dam "Gidley." " Cap-a-pie" (imported) by the " Colonel" out of" Sister to Cactus." See Stud-Book, vol. iv. p. 450. " Dover," (imported) by " Patron," out of " Maid of Kent." See Stud-Book, vol. iv. p. 258. " Trumpet," (imported) own brother to " Bugle," by " Tiresias," out of a Beubens mare. Glendon is perfectly sound, having done no work, and is, in every respect, calculated for this district: being a most powerful horse in a small compass. Watts Russell, in 1850. He is a- dark Brown, stands sixteen hands and half an inch, with good bone and excellent temper. Rising 7 yrs. old. His sire," Young Scotsman," gained several prizes in the County Ayr. His grandsire, the" Scotsman," the property of Wm. Kirkwood, of Grimesal, Dunlope, gained the two first prizes in the Highland Agricultural Show. Terms, £4 45., and ss. the Groom. SPEED THE PLOUGH.
