NOTICE. fT^HE next Ordinary Meeting of the Lyttelton Colonists' Society will be held in the News-room, *on Wednesday evening, Oct. 19, when the following business will be brought under consideration :— Ist. To receive the report of the Special Committee appointed to consider the propriety of obtaining a better division of the electoral districts, with the view of forming a Lyttelton Country District. 2nd. To consider the subject of education, and the best system to be adopted in reference thereto. 3rd. To discuss the propriety of obtaining municipal institutions for the town ; the necessity of having a Deputy Registrar of births, &c.; and the propriety of enclosing the Marketplace, with the view of improving the town.
